How does a snake know of flying?
How does an eagle know of crawling?
If they’ve spent their entire life among their companions
Discussing philosophy, discovery, with like-minded individuals?
How do we use our minds to improve society if these same minds have dragged society to the rubbles that it currently lays in?
This piece is from a poem that I’m considering releasing as a part of a poetry book. It won’t be released anytime soon, but it’ll happen.
If this piece impacted you in any ways, please consider reading more of my work here.
The age-old the blind leading the blind, it’s easier to stay with the pack isn’t it, I did it for ten years without much thought, until one day, I looked into the mirror and found that I hated who I was.. Here I am with less than a hand full of friends, and I’m whole again. 🙂

Better to lose the world but find yourself, right? 🙂 I’m happy that you were brave enough to make that choice! Cheers to you! The last line in the post was said to me by my sociology professor back in college. I hope this guy has all the blessings!

I don’t remember being brave, I just remember suffocating and I had to find a way to breathe. Your professor is a cool guy. 🙂

Thank you for doing what you needed to in order to breathe 🙂

I think that is one good thing about college, at least in my experience.

It is veryyyy interesting that you commented that because I encountered this idea back in college! I was having a conversation with my sociology professor about changing the world blah blah blah. In the conversation, he said a philosopher once asked, “How do we use our minds to improve society if these same minds caused all the problems in society?” When he said that, my life changed forever!
