Hi. So I wrote a book. It’s free. Thank you to the beautiful people at Keiken Media for writing an article reviewing the book. In their article (linked below), there is a link to a PDF of the book (it’s free). So go over there and read it. It’s free.
.
The book is titled, “Crumble”. I started it back in high school. At some point, at that time, I realized that I had a “crush” or a thing for 4 different girls, and they each were in a different school year. So I wrote a poem for each of them–putting the poems together into a collection titled, “Crumble”.  The main idea behind the book (and thus the title) is that love is a heavy emotion to behold, which is why most people have a “crush”. And, at times, even more than a “crush”, love flat out just CRUMBLE you.
.
After reading it, I would love to hear some feedback and your reactions. Thank you🙏🏾💕

I HAVE AMAZING NEWS TO SHARE!!!

I recently released my first book of poems, “Black and White”! Black and White is a collection of poems that speak about racial oppression in America. In this book, there are poems about police violence, Islamophobia and culture appropriation, just to name a few. Besides the value and significance that each of the poems have, this book is also self published! Everything that went into the creation of this project–from the writing and editing to the formatting and biding–was created by yours truly!

In addition to the poems in the book, Black and White also has a series of pieces that I call, “notes”. The notes serve several purposes. In a poetry book, there often is the circumstance where, although there is a theme across all of the poems, the poems stand awkwardly alone–as opposed to a novel, where everything naturally lead on to the next. The notes bridge the gap between the individual poems. They make the book fill more whole, and they complete the message of the book. These notes are ideas/lines that came to mind as I put the book together. They’re portions of poems that did not make it to the final version of the book, but they screamed a necessity to be in the book. These notes are random lines that only make sense after you finish reading the book. These notes make the book!

I will then give you my email and, from there, we can email back and forth about how to get you the book. The book is FREE SHIPPING for any locations within the United States.

The second way to get the book (which might be more convenient for those outside of the states) is by getting a digital copy. I have an account with the website: Sellfy, where a PDF version of the book can be purchased. WARNING: in order to purchase through that website, you NEED to have a PayPal account. Now, for our favorite part: cost of purchase. The digital and the physical copy of Black and White are both $10. But if you are not able to commit to the full price, I will accept any payment that is above $5 for the physical copy of the book. I accept payments via PayPal, Venmo, CashApp and Zelle. If you’re not able to complete a transaction through any of these, please let me know and we will decide on something. Due to taxes and laws that I have to abide by with Sellfy, I cannot allow that option for the purchase of the digital copy. Therefore, the price of the digital copy is $10.

FINAL COMMENT:

Thank you immensely to everyone for reading my work or even going as far as financially investing into my work. Every action that I take with my writing is a risk and a dare that I give myself, and with each new thing that I accomplish, all of my gratitude goes to you all for supporting me. Thank you immensely. If you have any comments or questions, please comment them below. If you would like a copy of the book, please comment below, as well.

Thank you immensely for your support!!!

After many late nights and hours spent discussing and laboring over its various aspects including editing, formatting and so on, I am proud to present to you my book, “How I Escaped Engineering School”!

“How I Escaped Engineering School”, is a digital book comprised of personally written pieces that form a record of my battle with my engineering major during the fall semester of 2016. It was a painful semester since it was during this time that I came to the realization that I could no longer pursue my dreams of becoming an engineer. So, just like I often do in times of trouble, I started writing.

A letter to the Engineering School at the University at Buffalo is where my written story begins followed by 18 poems that were written over the months compromising my last semester as an Engineering major. These poems, written during the impossible exams, after a class or in my room, speak of my emotions of desperation, pain, confusion, and final acceptance of my situation. I believe anyone who has experience these raw emotions, which I believe is all of us, will be able to find something within these pages. Especially those individuals who have chased after something or fervently pursued a dream to end up finding themselves at a dead end where they must start all over again.

It is with this that I say a sincere thank you to all the people who have  supported me during this process and a special thank you to Ariana Castagna for all the energy, effort and time that you’ve dedicated to the creation of this book.

The book will be released and available for purchase on March 10th, 2017 at the link below. Once again, I am immensely grateful for every piece of support sent my way!

Cheers~

Somewhere
Along that avenue,
Education became about
Who could endure the most all-nighters
Study biology,
Which teaches
The self needs sufficient sleep…

The irony:
One must kill to live
Two must burn
To feel quenched.

“Enough is Enough!”
Followed by,
“Let’s give it one more try.”
Constantly jeopardizing our health
For a goal cursing our wings
To this earth.

“Study harder!
And you shall fly,
Little bird”…
Or die

Or experience a dead flight
Because,
Raise your hand if you can
Honestly
Say that your after-life is
Worth the years of bathing
In the cold dreaded mud of education

Some of us
Have died so many times
On that road to “Success”
That all we see in the mirror
Is an Intellectual Corpse.
