You are one gorgeous person
Physically.
And you are just as beautiful
On the inside, too.

You’re just a little, “not straight” in the head
But, that’s okay.
I’m not too sure of my path in life
Either.
And that’s okay.

I guess
I can go ahead and say
Someone has to have a Dangerous level of pride
To stand up and claim:
“I know exactly what path I am to be on
In this life!”

The thing about life is
There is no “straight path” to follow.
They just put you in this life
With an infinite amount of paths to pursue
While, since the beginning of it,
Everything is, in a way, persuading you
To follow a path different from the other.

Which never made it easy to choose.

So, don’t be surprised.
You’re lost.
But so am I.
So is all of us.

There’s no way someone can claim
They’ve found themselves
In this vast Earth they’ve been littered into.
But I think that’s okay.

That’s what makes it beautiful,
In a way.
That’s what makes you beautiful.

Just enjoy the process ❤

Maybe I’m wrong.
But if your eyes and your smile open
At just the right dimension,
A bright light will beam!
Driving me so shocked, I couldn’t motion.

These black spots on your face
Are black holes.
Out and determined to consume your light;
Capture it to never be freed.

So, sometimes, they give tears;
Sometimes, I see tears.
Black holes on your face
To invade, infiltrate, colonize your space
Like capture.
Like, nothing can escape,
Like, not even your happiness.
So, it’s been pretty dark around here, lately.

Don’t you think?

My Black So Beautiful

My black so beautiful,
Even through all these funerals

It’s more alive than you,
More spirited than anything;
More woke than your 3-day resurrection.

They’ll try to turn us down. Turn us against each other
Be unattractive to our own

But the ugly is in them.

They tell us about places of graves
Then take us to death.
Tell us to turn it down, or they’ll become [our] deaf(th)

But our life line is still more brilliant than theirs.

While their ancestors are the causes and reasons of why
This world boils in mayhem
We draw strength and courage from the spirits of ours.

So each time we get knocked down,
Our resilience will make the loudest of sounds
Break the ground. Stand back up.

On that same day.

The evening after I read your obituary, you crawled into bed with me. Your spirit did not muss the sheetsor bend the mattress. Your voice could have been the breeze, but the breeze never tells me to eat more avocados. In your sleepy whisper you recite the lord’s prayer, but change father to sister. Your last goodnight is […]

In perfect worlds of
Imperfect beings,
Explanations of common beauty
Is long lost
To the subconscious.
So the shape and sizes
Are taped as prizes.

Nature, at times,
Sneaks in,
Tricks sin,
Seeks through vein
Then, attraction is found
In the colors. Their brightness
In the unexplainable. Its art
In the different. Its authenticity

In a world of blinds crossing skies,
And the limped crossing rivers,
Very few take the time.
To see <
Converse ’till it’s late;

Ask clouds of their beauty:
Free falling; filling rivers

But those who do
Are blessed
With a third eye. So skin,
No longer,
Holds pockets-full of lust
It holds beauty: something to map the lost.

Clothes are no longer framed by Finance
To honor chance,
But are
Intertwined simply
Inter the simplicity
Of none other than art—commonly viewed as beauty.

A Living Art

The traces on the body are that of an architect
A walking amazement
Crowds cheer, though silently
Thus, the self proceeds, oblivious of such.

The outline of the body is that carved by nature
Fruits to the head
Sweetness for the belly
Feet move like trees breezing naturally.

Personality in the body is a sack, that of diamonds
Some seen as more prosperous than others,
Following it: an essence of pure heart
Yet, you don’t see that you are art.

She was nothing else
Other than sunshine reflecting
Off of gold.

I didn’t want to give her nothing else
But my heart filled
Returning all of the feelings which from her, they stole

It was just something else
Elevating fear through the body
Finding my lost pieces, mystically making me whole

I hadn’t ever seen else:
A smile causing the sun to rise and compete
Enchanted human, unexplainable even by wisdoms of old

I’m me, who are you?
Do you skate, do you dance?
Do you look at a person’s mind like taking a glance?
Do you find yourself on the half court and still take a chance?
Do restrictions hold you back? Do you climb the fence?
First day, we hope for an easy pass. We’ve been hoping ever since
We get caught and bs-on-the-spot. Ain’t got time to plan in advance

You don’t walk into class and hustle
You don’t say something in Latin as if you were fighting evil
Do you argue in seminar like you’re in a battle?
Or declaim and take everyone to another level?
Do you wear a tie knowing you came from the ghetto?
Do you get hungry in class and eat cereal?
You don’t know.

We wake up expecting struggle
But walk down graham and smile when others say hello
We think it’s bad…badder than the devil
But this is TBLS so, are you going to lose or win this war like a pro?

I will write and scribble and scratch
Because some souls are attractive
But hers is victorious,
Through her cries flooding the sea
And scaring the oceans away, bearing the ocean floor
To being a canvas for her to scribble her sentiments, Her moments
Her beauty, hidden in her soul

So I scratch, powered by my endeavor
Until she opens, like a wild receiver
And.
Surprisingly enough it turns out:

You need not to aim for the beholder,
But the sword illuminated

You need not to find beauty at the sight of her
But the soul, under the moon nested.
